Jodi Bussiere,

Jodi is a graduate of McGill University from the Faculty of Physical Therapy. Jodi has worked in both the hospital and private practice settings over her 30 year career, focusing in the areas of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. She has her Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy and successfully challenged her Certificate of Intermediate Manual and Manipulative Therapy. She has attended over 60 post-graduate courses/conferences focusing in the areas of manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, pelvic health, acupuncture, taping techniques and current research. Jodi has been involved in curriculum planning and teaching for University Physiotherapy students, and is committed to mentoring students from local colleges and high schools, who are interested in related health care fields.
Jodi has worked at many different sporting events over the years, including being a Lead Medical Practitioner at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, and working at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, 2011 Canada Winter Games, 2012 Ontario Summer Games and most recently the 2022 Canada Summer Games. Jodi organized a local Journal Club in Uxbridge made up of many disciplines of health care, where they have guest speakers update them on current practices, and learn about new research and techniques.
Jodi treats people of all ages and levels of abilities, and believes in the team approach to treatment. Jodi uses a comprehensive initial assessment to determine the cause of your pain or problem, and creates an individualized plan to reach your goals. Her most valuable treatment tools include her manual therapy skills, functional exercise progressions and education to her clients.
Jodi has been working at Uxbridge Physiotherapy since 2010, and took over ownership of the clinic in 2014. She strives to maintain the highest standards of Physiotherapy care to her clients, along with her team at the clinic. Jodi enjoys managing the clinic and supporting the local community it serves.
Julia Teskey,

Julia graduated from the University of Toronto in 2011 with her Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to this she completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University at Buffalo, where she played NCAA Division 1 soccer. She has also completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program and Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy Levels 1 – 3. She is dedicated to continued learning, and has taken post-graduate courses in post-concussion syndrome management, temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders, shoulder complex, patellofemoral pain, and many others. She has also been a clinical instructor for students from the University of Toronto’s Physical Therapy program. Julia has experience treating patients with a large variety of orthopaedic conditions. Her strong interest in orthopaedic and sports injuries guide her treatment approach which emphasizes the use of manual therapy, education and sport specific exercises to help her patients reach their functional goals without pain or limitations.
Erika Schroeder,

Erika graduated from the University of Toronto with her Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to that, she completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, where she played on the Varsity Rugby Team. During her studies, Erika gained experience treating a variety of patients with a wide range of orthopaedic conditions, as well as working in spinal cord injury and amputee rehab settings. Erika is committed to determining the root cause of the injury, and is dedicated in helping individuals play an active role in achieving their goals. She uses a functional, exercise-based approach, combined with hands-on techniques. Erika has completed courses in manual therapy and soft tissue release, and is committed to her growth and development as a practitioner, as she follows her interests in orthopaedics and sports physiotherapy. Erika’s experience as an athlete has given her first-hand appreciation of the impact injuries can have, and the importance of early and comprehensive rehabilitation, to help clients return to the activities they enjoy.

Jeff completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in 2016, after completing an Honours Kinesiology degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. His post-graduate training has included courses in manual therapy, vestibular rehab and exercise therapy. He has also acted as a clinical instructor for students from Queen’s University and Durham College. Jeff’s goal is to provide quality, patient-centered care that maximizes function and independence. Using a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, Jeff has assisted patients of all ages and across all activity levels get back to the sport or movement that is meaningful to them.
Kelsey Brethour

Kelsey is a graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University with her Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Her undergraduate degree was in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph, where she played varsity ringette and volunteered as an athletic therapist for the men’s soccer team. Kelsey has experience treating a variety of orthopedic injuries in clients of all ages, and has a growing passion for working with prenatal and post-partum women. She has additional training in pelvic health, treating pelvic floor conditions in both females and males. She utilizes a biopsychosocial approach to treat the whole person, focusing on manual therapy techniques, functional exercises and education, to help people achieve their goals and guide them to a healthy active lifestyle.
Matt Fong

Physiotherapy Resident
Matt earned his Master of Physiotherapy degree from The University of Toronto after completing a Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University, where he excelled in varsity sports including cross country, track and field, and swimming. Through his comprehensive clinical and academic training, Matt has gained expertise in treating a wide range of injuries and conditions, including work-related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, and neurological conditions.
He utilizes a combination of manual therapy, tailored home exercise programs, and client-specific education to help individuals regain function and return to the activities they love. Matt is passionate about empowering his clients by providing them with the knowledge and tools to not only recover but also prevent future injuries and achieve optimal health.
Outside of the clinic, Matt enjoys golfing, playing tennis, going to the gym, and watching sports.
Leslie Sachse

Leslie became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2010, after working as a Medical Laboratory technologist for approximately 20 years, primarily in Microbiology. Since 2010, Leslie has completed post graduate courses including:

Integrated Lymph Drainage is a technique that cleanses the connective tissue of inflammatory materials and toxins, enhances the activity of the immune system, decreases pain and enhances the functioning of the parasympathetic nervous system. It thereby facilitates the healing of injuries, chronic conditions and inflammation. Some conditions that can be successfully treated with ILD are:
- Primary and Secondary Lymphedema
- Traumatic Injuries, Strains/Sprains and Repetitive Strain Injuries
- Sinusitis
- Headaches
- Rheumatoid/Osteoarthritis, inflammatory conditions
- Whiplash
- Pre/post operatively
- Joint Replacement Rehabilitation
Other techniques Leslie may employ during a treatment include myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage and soft tissue release, to name a few.
